God Uses the Most Unlikely
God Uses The Most Unlikely
As you read through the Bible we come across stories where God uses the most unlikely individual to teach us a lesson. Do you recall the story of the donkey who was used by God to speak to Balaam in Numbers 22: 28-30. Now who would ever think a donkey could talk. But you know that God is able, he is in control of all.
Have you ever had a time in your life where you just didn’t understand why God would have something to take place, it just didn’t make sense? Or why God would put you in someone’s life?
Back in the day before my husband or I had accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour I am sure there were people that wondered why would anyone take time with us, because we seemed like a hopeless couple. But God always knows and he put a few different people in our life at just the right time and because of their faith in God and their compassion for us they were a tool that God used to make a difference.
That is what God is all about being used to lead what we consider those hopeless people to know the Lord. Do you have a hopeless person or couple in your life? Is God calling you to be used to lead them to the Lord?
Joshua 2 shares the scripture of how Joshua sent 2 spies into Jericho and they entered into Rahab the harlot’s house. Why would a harlot be used to aide the men of God? Well she ended up playing a huge part, as she kept the spies safe from the kings men, after the king’s men left she let the spies down from the roof with a red cord and the spies were able to return back and report to Joshua so that God’s will could be fulfilled.
When we don’t share the gospel with someone because we don’t think they will listen or because we don’t think God could use them, think again and let God’s Word be used to work in the heart and soul of those that we think are hopeless.
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
